What is an RTO?

RTO stands for registered training organisation. These organisations are approved by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver nationally recognised VET training. As part of this, they’re authorised to assess students and issue nationally recognised qualifications and statements of attainment. In order to become an RTO, the organisation needs to go through an application and assessment process that determines whether they can deliver training and assessment that meets a high standard, while protecting the integrity and reputation of the training sector.
